I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to

- have positive attitude in English language learning so that they actively participate in all classroom activities, especially about the topic “Community services” conducted by the teacher

A. Warm up (5’)

b) Content: Talking about places for community services near their residence
c) Product: Students can talk about community services they know confidently

New lesson (36’) Activity 1: Grammar (18’) a) Objective: To know how to use definite and indefinite articles and prepositions of place b) Content: Listening and repeating; Circling the correct words; Completing the sentences c) Products: Ss know how to use definite and indefinite articles and prepositions of place correctly in communication. d) Competence: Collaboration, communication, analytical skill. e) Organization of the activity: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities a. Listen and repeat. Presentation: - Have Ss look at the picture. - Play the audio CD2-03 - Play the audio again. - Explain the grammar explanation and give more examples. - Look at the pictures - Listen and read the speech bubbles. - Listen and repeat in chorus. - Look at the box with the different uses and examples of articles and preposition of place, and copy them into their notebooks. Ex: Is there a train station near here? The train station is on the Queen's Street. It's next to the park. It's between the police station and the hospital. It's opposite the post office. - Read the sentences aloud. b. Circle the correct word. Practice - Explain the task. - Have Ss to read the sentences and circle the correct words. - Give feedback and correct the answers. - Read the sentences and circle words individually. .- Share their answers with their peers, and then the class. Look at the map and complete the sentences. -Ask Ss to look at the map, read the conversation and complete the words. - Have Ss work in pairs to check answers -Give feedback and correct.the answers d. Now, practice the conversation with your partner: -Ask Ss to practice the conversation using the maps given. - Call some pairs to deliver the conversation in front of the class. * Production/ free practice - Encourage Ss to make their own dialogues - Give feedback if necessary. - Work individually. - Share their answers with their partners. - Give the answers.
