V/ Procedures: Teacher ’ s / students ’ activities Contents I_WARM UP: T: Ask Ss to complete the network Ss: Team work T: Give the pictures and wordcards, ask Ss to match each word with each picture Ss: Match the wordcards with the pictures T: Correct, read and help Ss to review the vocabulary Ss: Listen and repeat in chorus T: Tell what is going on in the lesson : describing surroundings. II_PRESENTATION: Activity1: T: Ask Ss to look at the pictures and complete the sentences Ss: Individually Activity 2: T: Present and read all the words T: Explain the exercise Ss: Listen T: Turn on the EZ Talk and ask Ss to listen and write the words they hear Ss: Listen and write T: Correct Activity 3: T: Have Ss to review the structures Ss: Listen and copy down T: Ask Ss to look at the pictures , work in groups to describe the pictures. New lesson: - Ask ss to retell the ways to change singular nouns into plural nouns. *Note: cách đọc “s’ hoặc “es” - Những danh từ số ít kết thúc là các âm /s/, /z/, /t∫/, / ∫/,/ dз / khi chuyển sang số nhiều ta đọc s hoặc es là /iz/ - Những danh từ số ít kết thúc là các âm /p/, /k/, /t/ khi chuyển sang số nhiều ta đọc s là /s/ -Những danh từ số ít kết thúc là các âm khác ta đọc là /z/ III.Exercises: Ex1. Give plural nouns and then put them into correct column of pronouncing ending sounds city – bookshelf – tomato – stereo – lamp architect– roof –country – family – bench – class – box – book – half – photo – potato – play – couch – dish – pencil – nurse – boy – dress – place –house – beach – dictionary – parent – television – pencil – kilo Ex2. Ex3.Rewrite the following sentences in the plural form. What’s this? _It’s a stereo. What’s that? _It’s an armchair. Who’s he? _He’s a teacher. I’m a student. Is this your pencil? _Yes, it is. Is that her child? _Yes, it is. There is a library in my city. - Model with a good student. - Ask ss to work in pairs. - Write the answers in the notebooks. IV. Consolidation: Retell the content of the lesson. V. Homework: - Learn by heart the lesson. - Do the exercices again. - Prepare for the next lesson. Dạng số nhiều của danh từ: a. Thông thường thêm “s” vào sau danh từ số ít b. Nếu N tận cùng bằng “y”- Trước-“y” là một phụ âm ta đổi “y” thành “ies” c. N tận cùng bằng “f/fe” ta thay”f/fe” bằng -“ves” - Ngoại lệ các từ sau ta thêm “s” : roof, froof , chief , handkerchief, safe, belief , chef. d. N tận cùng bằng “o”: - Trước “o” là một ng/âm ta thêm “s”. - Trước “o” là một phụ âm ta thêm “es” - Ngoại lệ: các từ sau chỉ thêm “s” : piano, photo , kilo, dynamo,solo ,auto,grotto,motto e. N tận cùng bằng: “s, x, sh, ch, z” ta thêm “es” f. Danh từ dạng số ít nhưng nghĩa số nhiều: people, police, cattle, public, clergy /iz/ /s/ /z/ houses beaches ..... books parents .... televisions boys ... Eg: How many stools are there in the livingroom? There are three. Keys: 1. What are these?- They are stereos. 2. What are those? – They are armchairs. 3. Who are they? – They are teachers. ....
