- write a paragraph about an organization

- improve their skills (Reading, Speaking and Writing)

3. Quality

- have positive attitude in English language learning so that they actively participate in all classroom activities, especially with the topic “Community services”

- have awareness of taking part in environmental charities

A. Warm up (5’)

a) Objective: To review the previous lesson.

b) Content: Vocabulary game

c) Product: Students can review and remember new words related the topic of unit 6.

I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to 
1. Knowledge
- read about a charity in Vietnam
- speak about how to save the earth
- write a paragraph about an organization 
2. Ability
- improve their skills (Reading, Speaking and Writing) 
3. Quality
- have positive attitude in English language learning so that they actively participate in all classroom activities, especially with the topic “Community services” 
- have awareness of taking part in environmental charities
II. TEACHING AIDS AND LEARNING MATERIALS.

III. PROCEDURES
A. Warm up (5’)
a) Objective: To review the previous lesson.
b) Content: Vocabulary game
c) Product: Students can review and remember new words related the topic of unit 6.
d) Competence: Collaboration, communication, 
e) Organization of the activity:

Revision: Kim's Game.
- Divide the class into two groups
- Show the pictures of police station, train station, hospital, library, throw away, recycle, reuse, pick up,...
- Put away the pictures 
- Have Ss write down as many vocabulary items as possible in 1 minute (The group with the most vocabulary items is the winner) 
- Have Ss read out loud all the words together
- Look at the pictures (for 20 seconds)
-Write
-Say all the words as the whole class
B. New lesson (35’)
Activities 1: Reading (10’)
a) Objective: To read for main ideas and for details, to be inspired by the beauty and meaning of charity practice
b) Content: Reading the article, choosing the best headline and filling in the blanks 
c) Products: Ss can have general ideas about environmental charity in Viet Nam
d) Competence: Collaboration, communication, analytical and synthesizing skills.
e) Organization of the activity:

a. Read the article and circle the best headline.
* Pre- reading:
- Set the context of the reading task and or ask Ss some questions to lead in the topic of the task. 
Suggested questions: 
Do you know any charity in Vietnam? 
Where are they? 
What do they do? 
How can they help?
* While - reading:
- Have Ss read the given headlines and underline the key words
- Get Ss read the article quickly (skim) and circle the best headline. (For main idea)
- Check answer as a whole class
- Give feedback
b. Read the article and fill in the blank.
- Have Ss read all the questions, work out the type of words needed for each gap
- Ask Ss to scan the article to find words/ synonyms/ paraphrases of words/ phrases in the questions and fill in the blanks. 
- Go around the class to give support if any
- Check the answer and give explanation if necessary
- Work in pairs asking and answering the questions given
- Read the article and circle the best headline individually
- Check the answers with their partners
- Check answer as a whole class

Activity 2: Speaking - Help us Save the World (10’)
a) Objective: To talk about a charity and describe a charity they want to help.
b) Content: Working in pairs to describe a charity they want to help
c) Products: Students can use the target language learnt to talk about some charities and say which one they want to help 
d) Organization of the activity:

a. You and your friend want to help a charity...
- Set the situation of the speaking task. 
- Practice the role - play with a student.
- Have Ss practice the role-play. 
b. Decide which charity you want to help.
 - Have Ss discuss and choose the charity to help
- Give feedback
- Work in pairs. (Student A stay on the current page and student B turn to page 123, File 7.
- Students B asks Student A question about Trash Hero World and make note in their notebook.
- Swap roles. Students A asks Student B question about Earth, watch and make note in their notebook.
- Work in groups of 4 to discuss and choose a charity they want to help and explain why.
- Demonstrate the activity in front of the class.
Activity 3: Writing (15’)
a) Objective: To write a paragraph about the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF)
b) Content: Using the notes to write a paragraph about (50 - 60 worlds)	
c) Products: Students can use the target language to produce a paragraph about WWF	
d) Competence: Collaboration, communication, creativity
e) Organization of the activity:

Use the notes to write a paragraph about the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF). Write 50-60 words. 
* Pre - writing:
- Explain to Ss how to write a paragraph and give ideas, new words if necessary
* While - writing:
- Have Ss write a paragraph
- Have some Ss to put their writing on the board
- Give feedback and correct. 
* Post - writing:
- Encourage better students to talk about the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF).
* Note: Teacher can have students study/ do exercises in Review if there is time. 
- Listen to the explanation carefully.
- Use the notes to write individually.
- Write their paragraphs on the board. 
- Talk about the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF)
individually. 
Suggested answers 
The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is a very large charity. They work to protect wildlife and the environment. They also find ways to make sure everyone has enough food and reduce food waste. They started in 1961 in Switzerland and now they work in more than one hundred countries. To help WWF, you can donate money. They are the largest wildlife charity in the world
