 Note: Ngôi thứ 3 (ba) số ít (He, she, it - Tom, John, Hoa ...), ta cần lưu ý các quy tắc sau: 
phải thêm "s" vào sau động từ ở câu khẳng định. ( V+s) 
 Ví dụ: He likes reading books./ She likes pop music. 
 2. Ngoài việc "s" vào sau động từ, ta phải đặc biệt chú ý những trường hợp sau:
 2.1. Những động từ (Verbs) tận cùng bằng những chữ sau đây thì phải thêm "ES".

Những động từ (Verbs) tận cùng bằng "Y" thì phải xét hai (2) trường hợp sau đây.
* Nếu trước Y là nguyên âm (vowel) thì sẽ chia như quy tắc 2.1 trên đây. Y ---- Y + S

Quy tắc 1: Đuôi s/es phát âm là /s/
Khi từ có phát âm kết thúc bằng các phụ âm vô thanh: /ө/, /p/, /k/, /f/, /t/, đuôi s/es được phát âm là /s/
Ví dụ :
 Cats /kæt/ – I really love cats
 Works /wə:ks/ – He works in Hanoi
Với câu thần chú thời phong kiến phương Tây sẽ là 1 mẹo nhớ cách phát âm s/es hiệu quả.
Quy tắc 2: Đuôi s/es phát âm là /iz/
Khi từ có phát âm kết thúc bằng các phụ âm hữu thanh: /s/, /ʃ/, /tʃ/, /z/, /ʒ/, /dʒ/, đuôi s/es được phát âm là /iz/
Ví dụ:
 Kisses /kisiz/ – Send little Johnny my kisses
 Boxes /bɒksiz/ – There are 3 boxes on the table
 Crashes /kræ∫iz/ – the man crashes into the tree
Lưu ý: Với từ house, khi thêm s sẽ được phát âm /houiz/ thay vì /hous/.
Quy tắc 3: Đuôi s/es phát âm là /z/
Khi từ có phát âm kết thúc bằng nguyên âm (a, e, i, o, u) và các phụ âm hữu thanh còn lại: /b/, /d/, /g/, /ð/, /l/, /m/, /n/, /ŋ/, /r/, /v/, /әu/, /ei/, 
Ví dụ:
Dreams /dri:mz/ – She has so many dream
Plays /pleiz/ – Harry usually plays with my cat

 6 PREPOSITION OF PLACES
Giới từ là một từ liên kết danh từ, đại từ hoặc cụm từ danh từ với một phần nào đó trong câu và cũng là phần ngữ pháp quan trọng. Giới từ không chỉ được sử dụng rộng rãi trong văn viết mà còn được áp dụng rất nhiều trong giao tiếp. 
Dưới đây là một số giới từ chỉ nơi chốn bạn bắt buộc phải biết:
1. In: trong, ở trong
2. On: trên, ở trên
3. At: tại
4. Above/ over: bên trên – không tiếp xúc với bề mặt
5. Under/ Below: dưới, ở dưới
6. In front of: phía trước
7. Behind: phía sau
8. In the middle of: ở giữa
9. Near: gần
10. Next to/ By/ Beside: bên cạnh, kế bên
